Tweaking a favorite project

I'll admit it . . . I tend to overcomplicate my projects. So when we made a simple and beautiful journal cover very similar to this card at a recent CTMH function, I knew I wanted to make it into a card. It really has everything: beautiful papers, simple stamping, distressing, and well choosen embellishments in a really attractive layout. But yet it takes minutes to complete!
It is my plan that this will be one of the make n' takes at my table at the Scrap for Alexis on the 14th. It's a great re-use of leftover scrapbook paper and the simplicity is sure to appeal to beginner cardmakers. Please be sure to stop over and make this card and a matching envelope for only $1!

  1. Great card! That paper is just gorgeous. Really like how you 'tweaked' the My Journal cover to create the card.
