Snow Day!

OK, I'm a little late . . . but I wanted to share some fun snow day pictures with you. Last Wednesday we got about 14 inches of snow in 24 hours. The kids were thrilled to be home from school and happy to go out and play when the snow let up a little. Evan and Ella both got stuck in the snow drifts as they were so high. Needless to say, I got very little scrapbooking done this day.

That's actually the mailbox that Ella is standing in front of. I can't imagine where we're going to put the rest of the snow this winter!

Carving out some time for fun!

Although my husband hates all the fun childhood traditions (dying Easter eggs, parades, etc.), I LOVE them. Pumpkin carving is no exception! Yesterday we finally had a chance to let the kids have at it. Unfortunately, Ella, our middle child, was still pretty sick and Anna, the baby, was more in the way than anything. But Evan was just as crazy about it as I was. Together, the two of us carved 5 of the 6 pumpkins.
